Got my dream job!

I've been wanting a job as a stylist at Simonson's in Elk River for the last 4 years. I've interviewed with them in the past (4 yrs. ago) but when it came time to do my second technical (haircut) interview, my low confidence got the best of me and I declined. Well, today I had my second interview with them and I got the job! I am so excited. I will get to work there on weekends and as a nanny during the week.

Making poopy time fun

Here is what I sing to Phili when I change his poopy diaper...

You got some fuuuuunk...
You got some fuuuuunk...
You got some funk up in the trunk
You got some fuuuuuunk...

He giggles every time and it makes diaper changing kinda fun!

Aww sleep...I thought we'd never meet again!

Phili has slept through the night in his crib the past 5 nights in a row. To you this is not a big deal, to me this is a huge deal. I was starting to think the only nights I would get sleep were the nights Super Dad would roll into town which is only about 25% of the time which left a crazy sleep deprived mama the other 75%. He has been so much happier during the day, and so have I! It's amazing what sleep does for us. I will never again take for granted getting 8 hours of sleep. And if anyone is reading this who isn't getting sleep, I am sorry :( My heart really goes out to you and if there is anything I can do to help, let me know!

Never a dull moment

Me and Paigie were "bored" (actually, I was trying to find enough things to keep her little body busy!) tonight so I decided to put Phili's next year's Halloween costume on her. If you know Paigie, you know there is never a dull moment with her around and I don't believe she will ever really know what it feels like to be bored! (Neither will Jen & Wood :)

Too blessed to be stressed

I am very blessed to take care of one of my best friend Julie's kids. Today I had Mamie drop her kids off for about an hour so the kids could play together while Mamie ran an errand. We had SO much fun! I can't believe I get paid to play with kids. Philip took a nap while we played with trains and read books. In case you can't tell, they are all cracking up in the picture, not crying! Some crazy photographer was pretending to be a monkey and when I say photographer, I mean the girl taking a picture with her cheap cell phone that is hanging together by a screw.

Phili

For those of you who haven't seen Phili lately, let me give you an update. He is now 5 months old. He is adorable, chubby, slobbery, active, lovable, curious, unpredictable, cuddly, easy-going, happy, alert, he has a very loud screech, he'll put anything within a 12 inch diameter in his mouth, he is a big eater (almost 20 pounds!), he is pretty much a min-Cheech (Richie). Oh, and he's very stylish! I'm sure every parent says this, but I just know he is going to be really smart like his daddy! My parents gave Richie a year membership to the science museum as a Christmas gift and we brought Philip around New Years. I was really nervous about bringing him because he was sort of fussy around that time, escpecially when we weren't at home. Well, let me tell you...he soaked up every minute of it for 3 hours! He was so curious, looking at everything. He didn't fuss once. It was so much fun. I'd like to say that he's a mommy's boy but he lights up whenever Richie gets home. He can't take his eyes off him and it is the sweetest thing I've ever seen.

To blog or not to blog?

I've often thought about blogging but then I think...would anyone really care what I have to say? Maybe, maybe not. I love reading my cousins blogs and looking at their pics so hopefully I will figure out how to put pics of Phili up soon.
